Our Story

Camp Pee Dee Pride is a summer day camp held at Francis Marion University for kids ages 8-12.  With the support of the Florence County Sheriff's Department and various businesses in our community, the camp is free to the youths attending.

Activities include movies, bowling, and waterpark.   Campers learn skills such as team building, drug awareness, and community development.

The camp is now in its 25th year and over 6,000 Pee Dee kids have attended the camp since its inception! We hold fundraising events throughout the year to help fund Camp Pee Dee Pride. Please make every effort to support these events as these are our major fundraisers for the camp.

HELP SUPPORT CAMP!

Camp Pee Dee Pride relies on sponsors and the communities involvement in our fundraiser events,

without the generous donations we would not be able to make wonderful memories with children all around the Pee Dee area each summer.

Please continue to check our website and Facebook page for upcoming fundraiser events!

If you would like to donate, become a sponsor, or purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win a brand new golf cart, contact Delaine Martin (843)731-1387 or Mckenzie Gallo (843)694-6368

CAPTAIN WAYNE HOWARD

The heart and soul of Camp Pee Dee Pride

Captain Wayne Howard was one of the founders of CPDP beginning in the summer of 1997. This summer camp was a year round job for Wayne. He spent most of his time organizing fundraisers which allowed hundreds of children to attend camp each year.

Wayne truly cared about each child that came to camp and was always happy to make a positive impact on the Florence county youth.

Wayne Howard passed away in May 2022, each summer we continue camp in his honor.
